I have worked in CSIRO Health Sciences and Nutrition for 30 years, as a consultant for 3 years, and have held the academic position of Associate Professor at Adelaide University for 10 years.

I have undertaken research in diet and nutrition and their influence on heart disease and cancers of the large bowel (colon) and have published 125 scientific papers in journals. I am also an associate editor of the international journal Nutrition and Cancer.

As there has been a significant amount of research completed around the world on the micro-nutrient, Selenium, I have written the following facts from an independent and scientific standpoint based on my own professional experience.

What is documented on this site is purely my personal view on Selenium based on numerous research studies and journals published by my fellow researchers.
